6 toys to inspire your Kids to get moving for under $75
If you are in any mom, toy, or activity groups then you have probably seen Nugget comfort play couches or some other foam couch that has taken over playrooms. You have probably seen the price tags those products come with. Sure they are fun, but it probably left you wondering what can I do for my child to get moving, have fun, and not have to tap into a savings account just to afford? I am here to assure you that you do not need to drop $250 dollars just to burn some of your kids ever lasting energy. I will break down what each of these 6 items are, how your kids could use them, and share a link on where to purchase (they are all from amazon). Click the rainbow buttons to see each product and purchase.
- Balance Beam is on the list because balance is so important especially for young kids. This one is great because it folds up for better storage when not in use.
- Flat stepping stones are great for kids who just want that sensory of stepping on things and hopping from one stone to the other. Pair them with a balance beam and you have a fun obstacle course. They can be used as an outdoor toy or used in small world play. Really just super open ended.
- Elevated stepping stones are great for kids that need a challenge, enjoy obstacle courses, and climbing. Having to go from a taller stone to a shorter adds difficulty while your child keeps their balance.
- This Ring, cone, bean bag, and banner set is by far the most bang for your buck. It is so inexpensive and the games you could come up with to get your kids moving is limitless. Set up the cones and lay the rings flat on the floor for a fun obstacle course, color match using all 3 items, use the cones and rings for a ring toss game, use the rings for scooter or bike riding course. The possibilities are endless and it pairs great with the balance beam or stepping stones for epic obstacle courses.
- Poly Spots for only $22.95 are priced under the stepping stones and make a great open ended toy. They can be used in hopscotch, stepping spots, used in obstacle courses. They can also be used in color matching and imaginative play. Your kid can use them as plates or the green as grass or water in small world play. The options are endless with these.
- The parachute is probably the most under rated item on the list. There is a ton of choices on amazon but I thought this ones colors, size, and cost was the best. I have a feeling this will be an epic spring and summer activity. I can not wait to bring this to the park with us because I know all the kids will love playing with it. It will get the kids engaged and playing together. We also use this in our playroom for roofs on forts and nugget builds. It could also be used for color matching. These were always a highlight of my childhood using these in PE or other classes seriously made my week. One day I was making my sons Christmas list and I thought to myself, “wait I am an adult now I do not have to wait for a teacher to give us 10 minutes of parachute time during the week I can just buy one!”
